Motorola Penang 5G smartphone render surfaces leaked

Although we may anticipate that it will have a different name once it is officially announced, the unreleased Motorola phone appears to be named after the Malaysian state of Penang. The initial images of the Motorola “Penang” handset have been posted online.

The root codename for this subsequent Motorola phone is the same as that of Penang4G and Penang+, but not much is known about it at this time. However, it’s important to keep in mind that phones that sound similar don’t always appear in the same retail lineups; for instance, they might be spread out among the Moto G and Moto E families. The Moto G Play (2022) first appeared online.

About the device itself, not much is known at this time. However, Evan Blass, a leaker, claims that it will only have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage. The Penang 5G North American model XT-2313 will be available from Cricket, Dish, and Tracfone, in addition to the three main U.S. carriers, as far as we are aware.

In the image that was leaked, both the phone’s front and back were visible. Around the back, there only appear to be two cameras, indicating that the photography won’t be particularly novel. This further suggests that the target market may be the budget market.

Blass claims that work is also being done on models with the codenames Penang4G and Penang+. However, this does not necessarily imply that when they become available for purchase, all three of these devices will belong to the same family. The Penang5G is shown above in Basalt Blue, but an “Opal Silver” variant will also be available.
